Overview

Homme Cafe, nestled in the vibrant heart of Kota Tua, Jakarta Barat, offers more than just a coffee break; it delivers a complete sensory experience. Located on Jl. Pancoran No.43 in Glodok, this coffee shop blends the art of specialty coffee with a unique cultural atmosphere, making it a standout spot for both locals and visitors.

The highlight on the menu, 招牌黑咖啡 (signature black coffee), exemplifies their commitment to quality. Homme Cafe specializes in local Indonesian coffee beans, sourced from various regions such as Aceh and other Nusantara blends that artfully combine Arabica and Robusta varieties. These beans are brewed meticulously using different methods like the V60 pour-over to bring out nuanced flavor profiles—from bold, smoky notes to delicate floral and fruity undertones. Whether you choose a hot Americano or a refreshing V60 cold brew, the taste carries a distinct local character that coffee enthusiasts will appreciate.

Beyond the coffee itself, Homme Cafe embraces a multifaceted concept. The space doubles as a pop-up store and vintage shop, featuring one-of-a-kind clothes, art, and quirky collectibles. This creates an inviting, eclectic atmosphere where patrons can relax to carefully selected music and explore unique items that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of Jakarta’s Chinatown. The shop’s cozy, vintage-inspired setting makes it ideal for those seeking a leisurely break from the urban buzz.

Homme Cafe caters to a diverse audience—coffee connoisseurs eager to sample Indonesia’s finest beans, shoppers in search of exclusive fashion finds, and anyone longing for a convivial yet tranquil environment. Customer experiences consistently highlight not only the coffee’s quality but also the friendly, knowledgeable baristas who enhance the visit with insights about each blend. A visit here feels less like a quick stop and more like a curated journey through local flavors and creative expression.

For those exploring Jakarta’s old town, Homme Cafe stands as a hidden gem offering something different: robust specialty coffee accentuated by a unique retail and cultural experience. It’s a place to savor, browse, and unwind—a true reflection of Jakarta’s thriving coffee scene fused with its spirited street culture.

A cozy cafe with small accessories shop inside (except for the outdoor seating). Even from the entrance, the atmosphere were relaxing. You can buy some cute enamel pins, cards, clothes, wind chimes and many other home accessories here. From what I saw, you can also open a craft workshop here. I ordered kopi gula aren, the aroma was good, the coffee tasted more sour than bitter. Unfortunately, we choose outdoor seating since we're smoking. The Chinese music was way too loud from the first floor and it was so damn noisy hahahahha
